Before stepping fully into nonprofit leadership, April built a strong foundation in the corporate sector, spending 15 years with Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliates in roles ranging from Claims Analyst to Operations Specialist. During this time, she led training initiatives, supported process improvements, and mentored team members—developing expertise in administration, compliance, and service excellence that continues to inform her work today.
April is also the owner and creative director of ACdesignz, a custom apparel and branding business specializing in personalized shirts, logos, and promotional materials for individuals, businesses, schools, and community events. Through ACdesignz, she combines creativity, strategy, and branding to help clients bring their visions to life with excellence and authenticity.
A passionate youth leader and Children’s Church Coordinator since 2006, April has empowered countless young people through faith-based outreach, volunteer leadership, and community engagement. Her educational background includes certifications and college coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and Administrative Leadership.
In April 2025, April expanded her professional journey by completing real estate school, passing the North Carolina state exam, and transitioning into the real estate industry. She now brings her deep community knowledge, strong communication skills, and service-driven mindset to helping individuals and families navigate the homeownership process with confidence and clarity.
